Project Description

A student will be involved in using a massively parallel Compressible High-ORder Unstructured Spectral-Difference code (CHORUS) for solving magnetohydrodynamic equations. The student will compare the performances of CHORUS version-1 code on conforming meshes and uniform time stepping scheme against CHORUS version-2 code with local mesh refinements through non-conforming curved faces as well as local time stepping scheme. CHORUS-MHD code will be used to study a solar dynamo benchmark problem.
